Application: Carton feeding and transport on a Vega 850 machine
Component Type: Feeder belt inquiry and narrow intermediate-section folder gluer belt
The Core Issue: The customer wanted to add another replacement belt to an existing order, but the second belt had to be identified from its machine position, dimensions and photographs rather than its appearance alone.
1. The Original Feeder Belt Inquiry
The customer first contacted TRANDVOX about a replacement feeder belt for a Vega 850. To explain the requirement, the customer provided a photograph of the belt application and used an image from the TRANDVOX website as a visual reference.
The website image helped indicate the type of belt the customer was looking for, but it was not treated as the final specification. A similar appearance does not necessarily confirm the belt construction, dimensions, surface or suitability for a particular machine position.
After reviewing the initial information, TRANDVOX prepared a quotation for the feeder belt and the related shipping cost.

2.Adding Another Belt to the Same Shipment
After receiving the quotation, the customer noted that the international shipping cost was relatively high for a single replacement item. The customer therefore asked whether another spare belt for the same Vega 850 could be added to the order.
The additional requirement was described as follows:
| Item | Customer Information |
|---|---|
| Machine | Vega 850 |
| Belt position | Intermediate section |
| Belt length | 1805 mm |
| Belt width | 19 mm |
| Belt thickness | 4 mm |
| Reference information | Existing-belt photographs |
The customer did not simply want to purchase an additional belt. The request also asked TRANDVOX to check whether the second belt could be supplied and then update the quotation and shipping cost for a combined order.
3. Identifying the Second Belt
The additional photographs showed an endless narrow belt with a green contact surface and a dark fabric-like running side. They also provided useful visual information about the belt profile, surface condition, thickness and overall construction.

However, photographs alone cannot reliably confirm every material or internal construction detail. TRANDVOX therefore reviewed the images together with the stated 1805 x 19 x 4 mm dimensions and the belt’s position inside the machine.
4. Why a Folder Gluer Belt Was Recommended
The original belt request concerned the feeding section, where the main function is to grip and introduce carton blanks into the machine. The additional belt operated in an intermediate transport position, where the belt needed to carry and guide cartons through the next part of the process.
Based on this difference in machine position and function, TRANDVOX recommended reviewing the second item as a folder gluer belt, rather than selecting it only as a general conveyor belt or assuming it used the same construction as the feeder belt.
This distinction matters because different positions on the same machine may require different:
- Surface friction needed for carton contact
- Flexibility of the 4 mm construction along the belt path
- Existing joint and reverse-bending conditions
The recommendation was therefore based on the belt’s function and installation position, supported by the photographs and dimensions supplied by the customer.

5. Details to Confirm Before Supply
The photographs and measurements provided a practical starting point for quotation. Before final production or supply confirmation, the following details should be checked where possible:
- Finished endless length of 1805 mm
- Belt width of 19 mm
- Total thickness of 4 mm
- Contact-surface texture and friction requirement
- Running-side construction
- Existing joint or endless configuration
- Pulley diameters and belt path
- Reverse-bending conditions
- Belt position inside the Vega 850
- Existing belt markings or physical sample, if available
These checks help prevent a replacement from being selected only because its color and dimensions appear similar.

6. Combining the Two Requirements
The customer’s inquiry changed from a single feeder belt quotation into a review of two separate belt positions on the same machine:
- A feeder belt for the original feeding requirement
- An intermediate-section folder gluer belt measuring 1805 x 19 x 4 mm
TRANDVOX could then prepare the quotation around both requirements and recalculate the shipping cost for the combined shipment.
Adding several required spare parts to one shipment can improve purchasing efficiency and reduce the freight cost allocated to each individual item. However, the final shipping cost still depends on the combined packed weight, package dimensions and destination.
7. Review Outcome and Buyer Value
This inquiry demonstrated why replacement belts should be identified by machine position and operating function, not only by appearance.
Although both items belonged to the same Vega 850, the original belt was used for feeding, while the additional belt operated in an intermediate transport section. Reviewing the application photographs, existing-belt images and dimensions together allowed the two requirements to be separated more clearly.
For overseas buyers, combining planned spare belts into one order may also make international shipping more practical. The important point is to review each belt independently before consolidating the shipment, because one machine can use several belt constructions in different positions.

8. Inquiry Notes for Similar Multi-Belt Orders
For similar multi-belt inquiries, list each belt as a separate item and provide its machine position, finished dimensions, photographs of both surfaces, visible markings and quantity. If several spare belts will be shipped together, include them at the quotation stage so the packed weight and shipping cost can be reviewed as one order.
TRANDVOX helps overseas buyers review replacement belt requirements from machine information, photographs, dimensions, drawings and samples. Separating each belt position clearly helps reduce specification mistakes before several items are combined into one quotation or shipment.
